Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat have passed away. After the Air Force helicopter crash in Koonur, Tamil Nadu, General Rawat was admitted to the hospital in an injured condition, where he said goodbye to life. The country’s first Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat has a close association with Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. Bipin Rawat studied for a few years at St. Edward’s School in Shimla.
