CM announces Sub Division of Jal Shakti Vibhag for Ranital

Kangra: Addressing a public meeting at Takkipur in Kangra district today after inaugurating Government Degree College Takkipur completed at a cost of Rs. 6.50 crore, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the state government was committed to provide quality education to the youth in the state, so that Himachal Pradesh emerges as a frontrunner state of the country in the field of education. He also announced renaming of this college as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Degree College, Takkipur.
CM said the state government has ensured uniform and balanced development of every area of the state and welfare of every section of the society during last two years. He said that the people of the state showered their blessings on the state government by ensuring victory of BJP candidates in all the four parliamentary seats of the state with a huge margin. He said that not only this, the BJP created a history by maintaining lead in all 68 Assembly Constituencies of the state. He said that the BJP also won both the seats in state assembly bye elections by a record margin.
CM announced a Sub Division of Jal Shakti Vibhag for Ranital, besides Junior Engineer Section at Thakurdwara. He also announced upgradation of Primary Health Centre Tayara to Community Health Centre. He also announced that science classes would be started in Degree College Takkipur. He said that Government High School Takkipur would also be upgraded to Government Senior Secondary School. He said that Degree College Matour would be strengthened. Jai Ram Thakur said that a bridge costing Rs. 5.82 crore would be constructed over railway line in Kangra Assembly Constituency to be funded under NABARD. He said that Rs. 17.78 crore would be spent under Jal Jivan Mission in Daulatpur of Kangra Assembly Constituency. Earlier, the CM inaugurated administrative block of Government Polytechnic College Kangra completed by spending an amount of Rs. 5.54 crore.
Jai Ram Thakur performed Bhumi Poojan of upgradation of Kangra to Ghalian via Rajal, Bohar Kawalu road to be completed by spending Rs. 15.20 crore, Matour to Kohala Uprehar road at a cost of Rs. 2.24 crore and Bhumi Poojan of Ichhi, Sahoura, Pag Dodan Tyali, Abdulapur, Zamanabad, Kangra roads to be completed and upgraded at a cost of Rs. 2 crore. He also preformed Bhumi Poojan of link road from Kotkawala to Zamanabad road to be completed by spending Rs. 1.49 crore.President Himachal Pradesh Basketball Association Munish Sharma welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries on the occasion. He also presented a cheque of Rs 1,01,000 to the Chief Minister as contribution towards Chief Minister Relief Fund.
