CM Jairam apprises Governor about initiatives taken to fight COVID-19

Shimla: CM Jai Ram Thakur called on Governor Bandaru Dattatraya at Raj Bhavan, today and apprised him about the initiatives and steps being taken by the State Government to fight COVID-19 in the state.
The CM said that effective steps have been taken well in time in the State and the situation is under control. Outsiders were being monitored and investigation was being done through door to door Active Case Finding Campaign, he added.
The Governor appreciated the efforts taken by state government to fight this pandemic and to ensure essential commodities to the people of the state. He also expressed his satisfaction that the guidelines issued by Government of India and State Government from time to time were being followed properly in the state.
Governor contributes towards H.P. COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund The Governor also contributed Rs.2,44,500 towards H.P. COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund to Chief Minister, on the occasion.The Governor also apprised the President of India Ram Nath Kovind about the status and steps taken by the State Government regarding COVID-19 in the State.
The Governor has also greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. In his message, he said that the teaching of Lord Mahavira’s Nobel of non-violence, truth and renunciation are relevant even today. We should follow his teachings for spreading peace, love and harmony in the society, he added.The Governor also convened a meeting with officers of the Raj Bhavan regarding coronavirus and directed to coordinate with the State Administration in dealing with COVID-19.
