New Delhi : The 2019 General Elections were a ‘One versus All’ battle even before it began. Prime Minister Narender Modi lead his government from the front and it was clear whether they win or loose, entire accountability lies in the hand of the Modi. Now as the trends are showing that the BJP is cruising past the magical numbers of 272, we can say that the “Modi Magic’ spellbounded the entire country once again.
Prime Minister Modi has changed the way people look at the elections since he ran for office in 2014. People regardless of who the candidate from their constituency is and his/her credentials, people voted for the BJP in their area with a believe that they voted for Modi. He not only carried the charisma of an ideal leader but also an ideal person. Working for 16-17 hours a day, not taking a single leave during his tenure and frequently breaking protocols to interact with people automatically made him the people’s favourite.
Tight administration, a great foriegn policy, indigenous campaigns like ‘Make In India’ and ‘Swacch Bharat’ were positively taken by the people. What increased the impact was how the opposition, time and again, failed to corner the Modi Government. But, later when the Opposition tried to corner him on the issues of Rafale, he bounced back with twin force. The demonitization and GST were also backed by the people’s support and the opposition could’nt capitalise on the situation. Now with a second term in hand, the Prime Minister has his eyes set on his goals. National security, growth and development and nationalism will surely reach new heights as Modi resumes office for the second term
