New Delhi : Governor Kalraj Mishra and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur paid last respects to former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj at BJP office New Delhi today who breathed her last yesterday night. Governor in his condolence message said that her demise is a personal loss. He said that she was an excellent administrator and set high standards in every Ministry she handled. She played a key role in bettering India’s ties with various nations. He said that she was known as a powerful orator and the minister with the people’s touch. She belonged to a different league altogether and always has been an inspiration to all the women.
Chief Minister said that demise of Swaraj was an end of a glorious chapter in Indian politics. He said that the demise of Sushma Swaraj is not only a big loss to the party but nation also as she earned great respect of all leaders across party lines and people of the country. He said that she had exceptional oratory skills and was admired as a great personality who inspired every one. He said that he had lot of old memories of her while working as state party chief and she had always provided him appropriate guidance wherever required.
Chief Minister said that the void created due to her death cannot be filled and Sushma Swaraj will be fondly remembered by everyone for her contributions to the nation. State Cabinet Ministers Mahender Singh, Suresh Bhardwaj, Sarveen Chaudhary, Dr. Ram Lal Markanda, Vipin Singh Parmar, Virender Kanwar, Bikram Singh, Govind Singh and Rajiv Saizal have also expressed grief over the sad demise of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.In their condolence message the Ministers said that the nation has lost a great leader and noble soul. They said that people of the country would always remember her contributions to the nation. They prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.MPs from the State Ram Swaroop Sharma, Kishan Kapoor and Suresh Kashyap also paid tributes to Sushma Swaraj.
