New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be sworn in this evening for a second term after his BJP’s incredible victory in the national election. Amid intense speculation hours before the oath ceremony at the presidential palace Rashtrapati Bhavan, calls have been made to those who will be in the cabinet. Sources say the calls were made by BJP president Amit Shah.
The recipients of the calls, most certain to be ministers, have been invited to the PM’s home at 5 pm, before the swearing-in. In the past 24 hours, several meetings have been held at the homes of PM Modi and Amit Shah, who is also being talked about as one of the key inclusions in the new cabinet. Amit Shah, who has led the party since 2014 and is credited with its spectacular run in elections, has been the PM Modi’s confidant for over two decades. He is credited with managing the party’s successful poll campaign.
