Suresh Kashyap Appointed Himachal Pradesh BJP President
Shimla/Delhi: Lok Sabha member from Shimla constituency, Suresh Kashyap, has been made the Himachal Pradesh state BJP President. Announcement of his name was made by BJP national president JP Nadda today.

Post of president had fallen vacant following resignation by Dr Rajeev Bindal, who served as the state president for about four months. Names of several leaders, including Vidhan Sabha Speaker Vipin Parmar, Rajya Sabha member Indu Goswami, Trilok Jamwal and MLA Rakesh Jamwal were doing the rounds, but Suresh Kashyap has been made party state president. Kashyap contested assembly elections thrice and after that won Lok Sabha elections in May 2019.
