Tibetans in exile pray at Macleodganj, celebrate New Year Losar

Macleodganj: Tibetans in exile began celebrations of the three-day Losar or New Year festival from today. Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) has greeted Tibetans across the world. According to the Tibetan lunar calendar, Losar is the first day of the New Year. Traditionally, it is celebrated in a big way. CTA functionaries, members of parliament-in-exile and the public attend special prayers held in the morning at Tsuglagkhang temple close to the palace of the The Dalai Lama.
The festival marks sacred and secular practices like prayers, ceremonies, rituals and folk dancing and merrymaking. This not just a New Year festival even it is a biggest festival of Tibet and the people come together to celebrate it. Considering all about the god vs.evil and that festival represents the joy of Tibet people from all around the world travel there and enjoys this amazing festival.
