Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Congress Party submitted a memorandum to the Governor Bandaru Dattatraya demanding an enquiry by a sitting High Cout Judge in the recent purchases of Covid-19 medicines and equipments made by the Health Department .Congress Delegation was led by Kuldeep Singh Rathore President HPCC along with Mukesh Agnihotiri Leader CLP ,Dr, Col. Dhani Ram Shandil MLA ,Jagat Singh Negi, Nand Lal, Mohan Lal Brakta, Vinay Kumar, Vikramaditya Singh and Ashish Butail.
Congress Party had highlighted the issue of massive corruption in the health department following which the Director Health Services was arrested and eventually when the Congress Party raised hue and cry it lead to the resignation of State BJP Chief. Congress Party also demanded a WHITE PAPER on the purchases made by the Health Department. Congress Party in its memorandum also demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur since he is also the concerned Minister of Health department.HPCC had already completed yesterday protest campaign throughout the state at ground level where memorandums were submitted at District Level to the Governor through Deputy Comissioner.
In the second phase, the Congress Party has directed the senior leaders to conduct press conferences through out the state from 6th June to 15th June 2020. The sitting MLA’s along with senior Congressmen would highlight the growing level of corruption in the Health Department at the behest of ruling BJP Govt. In the third phase, the Congress Party Spokespersons would highlight this issue at their respective Districts. Social Media Cell would start a programme under the hashtag Health Corruption where the party office bearers, leaders and sympathisers would come online simountaneously at various Social Media Platforms to highlight this issue amongst comman masses.
