Macleodganj: Tibetan Election Commission in collaboration with the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, released a documentary titled ‘Our Vote, Our Future’ at a ceremony.The short documentary ‘Our Vote, Our Future’ is aimed towards garnering awareness on the Tibetan electoral rights and duties as well as the electoral regulations and processes, said the Chief Election Commissioner Wangdu Tsering Pesur at the launch. This is perhaps the first time that a Tibetan electoral film is being launched officially.The Election Commission’s initiative is supported by IFS as well as its many other awareness programs. In its awareness effort, the Chief Election Commissioner and the additional commissioners also give a daily briefing on the electoral rules and regulations every Tuesday.

At the grassroots level, awareness and educational programs are in full swing. Chief election commissioner Wangdu Tsering acknowledged the growing awareness in the community and hoped that the film will further spread awareness far and wide. Chief Election Commissioner, Wangdu Tsering Pesur, additional commissioners Geshema Delek Wangmo and Sonam Gyaltsen (also former MP), Secretary Tsering Yangkey, Tenzin Norbu, Chief Election Commission and Director of TIPA attended the ceremony.
